The ele and our ranger are insane. Take lava arrows, simply because we already have firestorm, and we need to supplement him with something, though his bar is already looking solid. It's also the best skill in the pack.
For a second I thought shield stance was shield bash and was wanting to take that, but it's not. Shield bash is hot though.

Wouldn't want someone Martyr'ing our Cripshot (Cripshot and Apply) AND our Ele's (BFlash) efforts, though. I'd play safe and draft Martyr.
Remember, in picks 8-14 you're really looking for stuff that harms the opponent, not stuff that helps you - although stuff that helps you is always welcome.
EDIT:Well, Lava Arrows, fine...although I still think Martyr is a better choice...
Drafted Cards:
Crippling Shot
Orison of Healing
Signet of Devotion
Executioner's Strike
Distracting Blow
Bull's Charge
Divine Intervention
Troll Unguent
Soul Leech
Lava Font
Backfire
Dark Prison
Fire Storm
Arcane Thievery
Called Shot
Infuse Condition
Ether Prodigy
Apply Poison
Blinding Flash
Frenzy
Aegis
Mend Ailment
Draw Conditions
Heal Party
MARTYR! YAY!
2nd pack second pick:
Lightning Strike
Signet of Rage
Smite
Enfeeble
Animate Bone Horror
Wary Stance
Shield of Regeneration
Shield of Regen or Bone Horror.

i can't believe martyr wasn't chosen...
anyways, SoR is hands down the best choice given that it is one of the few skills late round that can greatly help the team. other considerations included bone horror and lightning strike, but neither come close to SoR

I look at lightning strike, enfeeble, SoR, and wary stance.
I would choose SoR to have something incase I need an elite for monk.

Shield of regen, because I used to love that spell on my e/mo...I believe it was the first elite I ever capped. Plus we have no elites for the monk, and it's kind of good (comporably) because everything else is crappy anyway. Monks are really strong in sealed play, but everyone takes good monk picks, so you have to take what you can get.

I agree. I was absolutely horrified. But I have to draft the card on consensus, not my personal opinion.
Although: Petition to repeal that last draft card. At LEAST hate-draft it, both of our awesome characters are condition-based (or at least partly)
I would pick either Bone Horror or SoR. Since we lack a second monk, SoR ftw.
Drafted Cards:
Crippling Shot
Orison of Healing
Signet of Devotion
Executioner's Strike
Distracting Blow
Bull's Charge
Divine Intervention
Troll Unguent
Soul Leech
Penetrating Blow
Lava Font
Backfire
Dark Prison
Fire Storm
Arcane Thievery
Called Shot
Infuse Condition
Ether Prodigy
Apply Poison
Blinding Flash
Frenzy
Aegis
Mend Ailment
Draw Conditions
Heal Party
Martyr!
Shield of Regeneration
Next pack:
Unseen Fury
"Retreat!"
Heaven's Delight
Glyph of Elemental Power
Malign Intervention
Elemental Attunement

ugh. they all suck. I guess I'd take heaven's delight, but that's only because I feel our monks are lacking at the moment. And I'll change my vote to martyr, lava arrows isn't that great, just something to supplement the ele for now. If nothing else you can put it on the domination mesmer.
Also, going over drafted cards, you missed penetrating blow, which I clearly recall being drafted, because everyone was pumped that it synergized with the warrior so much.

Heaven's Delight because of the lack of good draws. Retreat would pin down our warrior to W/R for a pet imo. That has been proven to work though.

Retreat. Let a footman overextend and die and use it to power Retreat.
Edit: A minute too late. You gave us exactly 46 minutes to see that pack Lightning - I understand that it's fun and all to move through, but it kind of defeats the purpose if the majority of the people who are involved rarely get to see the cards or get input in.

Dark Prison. Two teleporting warriors wouldn't be bad, but I am tempted by Jaundiced Gaze. I can't make a descision. I really want to start getting some necro skill because I would hate to waste soul leach. I don't know what I want.

/steals and hides post
How long should I wait for a pack, besides when I don't have access to a computer (around 2:30 PM to 11 PM GMT)? 3-4 hours? Perhaps less? Perhaps more?

just put it on the mesmer. He can alternate soul leech and backfire, and pretty much keep an enemy caster tied down the whole game.
